The proposal for our collective expo for the year 2013 is to work again on the European Year theme. In 2013 it will be "the European Year of Citizens". We had a fruitful first brainstorming session. You will find the results in the mindmap attached. Please contribute you ideas, thoughts, questions, etc. to this discussion thread.

Thanks to Myriam, Willem, Dirk and everybody already started with the preparation of the exhib 2013. With the current exhibition work, it was not possible for me to join the meetings and to participate in November, but I hope that we meet all this coming Monday.

And the result I see : a great brainstorming overview. Thanks, Willem for resuming and thanks to Alain for the first texts.

I write in English - because I think for some members it is much easier.

Let's go on or better start for some ideas about the EY 2013 exhibition. I had a meeting with the BI EUParl this morning and I think the planning will be as last year ... first exhibition mid June I always think about a theme which does attract attention and is tangible in a certain way...

What do you think of the following theme :

PASSPORT - the idea is that passport is much deeper than a person's title like citizen. IT IS A PLACE, A TIME AND AN IDENTITY.

Each photo is indirectly a place and a person/persons.

For me a very tangible title... a theme that people would read and think : what can be this as a photo exhibition - so they would become curious...

and a large theme ... I could imagine I work on scenes at the railway station / park & ride ...where each morning masses of people arrive...

A second idea : a theme containing perhaps : on board... but I don't have the right idea currently

Who has other ideas ...

Hi,

I have a little proposal for a title of the exhibition:

"growing together"

For me this title covers two meanings: 1: GROWING together, i.e. kind of a synergy effect of the European citizenship for the development of individuals and member states, and 2: growing TOGETHER, i.e. getting closer to each other by the European citizenship.

Some first thoughts ...

When I think of citizenship I also think of the "obligations" and "duties" we have as citizens. E.g. clean up the sidewalk in front of your house. I think an interesting picture could be a house with a cleaned sidewalk and one still covered with snow. Hope it will snow again, because I didn't take this picture yet ... So a series could be about people who perform and who don't perform their duties as citizens. People waiting for red, people walking through red, etc. It is true that there is not much of a European dimension to this series ...

Another idea, pictures of the interiors of houses of mixed couples ... What is the impact of the different origins of the inhabitants on the decoration of their homes? Pictures could be with or without the inhabitants.

Lundi passÃ© nous avons eu le plaisir d'avoir parmi nous Jean-Jacques Patricola, "ancien" membre du club et photographe passionnÃ©. Suite Ã nos discussions, voici ses idÃ©es pour l'expo 2013:

pour vous aider..j'ai bien rÃ©flÃ©chi et j'ai aussi sorti quelques photos
preuves Ã l'appui!

pour votre future expo commune..

faut trouver un thÃ¨me universel: un Ã©vÃ¨nement dans la ville et le pays

moi je vous avais parlÃ© de la danse..mais Ã§a peut-Ãªtre autre chose.

il faut du mouvement, de la couleur, de la ferveur, du rythme, du spectacle, de la foule
qu'on sente le bruit, la sueur, que cela fasse la part belle aux sens.

et quoi de mieux, pour parler de la citoyennetÃ©, que le Festival des Migrations
qui a lieu chaque annÃ©e fin fÃ©vrier je crois, dans les halles de la Foire au Kirchberg
pendant 3 jours, il y a foule..spectacles de danses, costumes, masques, couleurs, bruits, horizons
multiples, scÃ¨nes, bouffes, odeurs, plats cuisinÃ©s

de la matiÃ¨re Ã l'Ã©tat pure pour un travail groupÃ©, variÃ©, fourni, garni comme une grande marmitte
oÃ¹ on jetterait les ingrÃ©dients en vrac pour faire une soupe aux lÃ©gumes du monde entier.

on pourrait travailler sur la future, ou bien sortir les vestiges du temps passÃ© car je sais que j'y ai
vu de nombreux membres du club par le passÃ©, jusqu'Ã Fotini qui campe sur le podium.

I took some pictures of old toll-houses and roads to cross the border between France and Germany over the river Rhine without any need to stop for identifying or toll declaration.

To keep you informed : the call and invitation is written and transferred to the BI of EUparl. As soon as they give green light, the clubs will be invited... I calculated one more week of waitibg, but we can already do our pictures in the context of the EY 2013!!!

The theme Passport was not accepted : other proposals are
