These are my 2 youngest sons, Belgian-Lithuanians born in Luxembourg, playing on the shore of the Baltic sea. They represent mixed-nationality couples growing together and they are themselves growing together across Europe. And the picture has some metaphorical connotations about life and growing...

Dear colleagues
Thank you your coming yesterday evening to our Kick-off meeting. Members who could not participate can always join and profit from our forum here to ask questions and to submit photo ideas, like Arnaud did. (Arnaud we had a look with the group to your photo yesterday evening).
The result of our meeting yesterday: We will be about 10 – (best case) 15 participants… I am very happy to see that the first shots have been done and would wish that these photographers upload already their pictures on the forum to present them to those who could not come.
Moreover I copy at the end of this post the text description concerning the EY 2013 and the show we will participate in. Please read it …
The exhibition wants to contribute to lead a dialogue about Europe and the citizens’ rights and to promote visions how the European Union should be in 2020. )
I dont’ see only marketing photos but really photos going to the « ground » showing the status quo (l’existent) but also photos expressing visions and ideas how Europe should be in the future…
I got a great feedback from the German side… the photographers feel the challenge, the importance of the theme and are excited to participate in such a demanding thematic project. Moreover the fact to “compete and collaborate” with other clubs on a theme which concerns all of us will lead to an enriching show in their opinion.
So, happy to tell you this.
GROWING TOGETHER

Reminder :
Sorry for the last session to which I could not come - I was not in the best shape in the evening but I think that Myriam managed well all your questions. Those who presented photos please uplaod them on this forum... it will give ideas to others and perhaps also good comments to you.
I would like to check with the participants of the exhibition EY 2013 some points :
Did every participant had a look into the PDF = the document for preparing your input for the dossier of the exhibition EY 2013 of the club : You find in the PDF I uploaded some weeks ago here ? You have to deliver a printed dossier and printed photos and the dossier and images also in electronical form.
You find there the rules (to name your file's, length of titles, length of legends.... and the agenda ...
Could we also organize a person who collects all dossiers as the club has to deliver as club all submissions. Who would be a volunteer to compose the global submission for the club - I would prefer that it is another person than me as I have a double function.
thanks for your attention

Dear all,
My subject is Growing Together - Inside out, outside in.
In 2006, a small group of people from different member states, working at the European Commission, decided to implement a new way of working together, hosting meetings within the European Institutions and beyond using a new approach, allowing everyone to contribute their ideas on equal footing.
Despite initial scepticism, this new approach quickly spread across services and institutions, and is now commonly used for events of all sizes, from senior management meetings to big consultations with hundreds of participants.
Throughout these years, the initiators and implementers of this new approach have been growing together - growing personally, and helping European citizens to grow together, and, together to help Europe grow.
I have tried to represent this in a "polaroid" collage - looking forward to your comments and suggestions.
